Role Overview:
Medon Pharmacy is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Executive to support our finance and accounting operations. The role involves managing day-to-day financial transactions, maintaining records, handling reconciliations, and assisting in preparing financial reports. The ideal candidate should have good knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and experience using accounting software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily accounting transactions, including data entry, invoice processing, and payment follow-up.
- Handle accounts payable and receivable functions.
- Perform bank, supplier, and customer reconciliations.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger entries and supporting documents.
- Ensure timely and accurate VAT filings and compliance with UAE tax laws.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records.
- Liaise with internal departments and external vendors regarding financial matters.
- Support audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the UAE.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and UAE VAT.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or ERP systems).
- Good command of MS Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of UAE Labor Law and WPS for payroll processing.
- Experience in preparing financial statements and reports.
- Familiarity with audit procedures and requirements.
